Peat's Bite - another great lunch etc (Keith & Jenny Turner)

Saturday 16 April, 2005

Saturday, April 16th was our annual Peat's Bite lunch, which was supported by almost 40 Club members who began arriving at this unique location from about 10am.
We had about 8 boats tied to the rather dodgy 'marina' when a larger boat wash caused the "bridge" to the shore to come adrift. After some hasty rope work, this was temporarily repaired, but one can only wonder how much longer this structure can survive, or more importantly how long before someone gets hurt.
A few members decided to drop anchor, rather than risk the marina, probably a good move.
As always, lunch was sensational and about six boats spent a lazy night on the marina, followed by a lazy late breakfast before heading home late Sunday morning.
