GALENE heads north

Saturday 15 May, 2010

We've been enjoying the most amazing weather since leaving Sydney on Saturday 8th. "Galene" was true to her name and provided magic seas and lots of dolphins to accompany us.
I found the leg from Port Stephens to Coffs very long and Rob was lucky enough to grab a nana nap, actually I think it was a couple of naps! The sun was shining brightly into our space and as the seas were so gentle it provided the perfect conditions for a bit of shut eye, however Capt Bob remainder vigilant at all times and so did I (except for a head nod or too!) Yamba was a nice little fishing village to overnight and we were entertained by the locals at the Yamba pub overlooking the sea.
Arriving at Southport Captain Bob winked at the Marina Office receptionist and was given a great berth - Super Yacht 3 (for no extra cost!). I reckon Jamie Packer's boat could fit! Have enjoyed great food, wine and company at Southport, as well as a swim at Main Beach. Today hired car to visit Bob's mum at Murwillumbah and drove the hinterland back to the coast - showed Rob some spots frequented by us as youngsters. For a change I'm cooking on the boat tonight and entertaining my men friends - Bob T, Rob & Bobby!!

Anyway better go and warm up the oven for baking.

Sorry to hear weather in Sydney has been so cold and we're thinking of you often.

Bye for now.

Bernadette, Bob, Rob. xxx
