Kim's Diary - Week 11

Monday 23 July, 2007

Monday 16 July 2007
4.30pm Dee Why Fitness First
15 mins on the treadmill, my weights programme and then 1 hour boxing with my crew mate, Sue. Finished at the gym at 7.30pm (3 hours training?)

Tuesday 17 July 2007
6.30pm Pyrmont
I am stiff this morning from yesterday, I may have overdone it... Naah! A very cold start to the day -1 degree at Granville where Scott and I have our factory.
We've rugged up again for the cold and I'm sitting in No. 3 seat which is an unusual spot for me because of my size but its all good. A short but intense session.

Wednesday 18 July 2007
I had a massage today and she nearly reduced me to tears. Boy! It was tough. Her name is Sam and she digs her hands right into my calves and thighs. OUCH!

Thursday 19 July 2007
11am Dee Why
Mistress Penny and my friend Sue. Hard session of legs and arms. Then to Pyrmont at 5pm for another practice on the erg over 1000m. I try my right side and record 6 mins 25 secs. Then training in the boat where I am sitting at seat 3 again. The boat is sluggish and doesn't move well tonight. Disappointing effort.

Friday 20 July 2007
Mistress Penny for a 1 on 1 session which is very intense, there is no escape when its only you and her. Heavy on the legs and arms again.

Saturday 21 July 2007
7.30am Rose Bay
I hour in the boat where we practice our starts and try to get more back twist in our stroke. We tend to sit up a bit straight and not bend and twist enough in our stroke. Then out of the boat to a land session of boxing, push-ups and a shuttle run of gigantic proportions. Finish at 10.30am

Thanks for reading this and see you next week in Week 12.
