Monday 18 June 2007
Dee Why Fitness First 4pm
Weights again with Bow helping spot me. I am feeling unwell and unable to run or other cardio exercise.

I take the day off work and stop all exercise for the next four days until Saturday morning dragon boat training.

Saturday 23 June 2007
7.30am Pyrmont
Clear fine day but boy, its cold! The people from Penrith reckon its colder at Pyrmont than Penrith, I reckon that's saying something.

On water session with the full womens crew. I am given the "Talking Stick" first time back and sound like Rod Stewart. Crew is lacking something and need to fire up...a lot!
I am struggling a bit, still getting over my cold. One of the ladies takes exception to my use of the word 'mongrel' and asks me not to use it again. As in "c'mon ladies, bring out a bit of the mongrel in ya!"
Oh my lord! What a bunch of princesses!! I want a boat full of Amazons, where are you?

Dee Why Fitness First
Start off with a good run on treadmill, so the lungs seem to back on line and then complete my dragon boat specific weights program. Back on the stationary bike for 20 minutes.

Sorry about the short week but see you next week in Week 8.
