Kim's Training Diary - Week 1 (May 2006)

I can tell you that I have been successful in retaining my seat in the Masters Womens Crew for the World Titles to be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) in September 2007. You can get a feel for the whole thing by checking out www.dragonboat07.com.au

I will submit a journal style entry to the club website each week so that you may come along on the ride from the comfort of your own home/office.

Sunday 6 May 5.15am Pyrmont

31 women vying for 24 seats by paddling a dragon boat solo over a distance of 50m, quickest over the distance gets in, simple as that.

Monday 7 May

11am - 1 hour with Mistress Penny

Fine and warm again, concentrating on a very slow stroke rate (35/min) and trying to get it "right". Pretty cruisy training actually. Good mood in the boat.

Sunday 13 May

Happy Mothers Day!

Off the gym, trying to run 4 km in 20 mins.
