Akuna Bay Cruising Club

Commodore's Message

Wednesday 23 March, 2005

Here we are again, with the Easter Weekend almost upon us, heralding the end of the warmer months and longer days. Hopefully many of us will be taking advantage of the break to spend time on the water.

The Beach Ball is now behind us and once again was a great success (see 'news') and the Peat's Lunch is only a couple of weeks away. If you want to join us for this, more details in 'events', but be sure to book as we do need to confirm numbers early.

If you're planning on visiting the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, we have a "Club" dinner organised for the Friday night. Ex members Bill and Kerry Croucher have kindly organised this for us as a follow up from last year where we had 30 members and friends join the party. Full details in 'events'.

Remember that the Club is largely for the enjoyment of the members and as we have over 60 boats on the register, there must be some ideas out there that could make for a better Club. Think about it.

We've already achieved significant fuel discounts for members at the Marina and our continuing efforts have been instrumental in allowing Tradesmen to work on our boats without 'on costs'.

Meanwhile.............
see you on the water.
