Change of Venue for AGM

Dear Members,

We have just been advised that Cielo is being sold and won't be able to host this year's AGM on Saturday 22 August. That's the bad news but the good news is we have found another excellent venue- details below.

The second piece of good news is that we believe Cielo is being purchased by Giovanni Pilu ( Pilu at Freshwater fame) and we can look forward to a fantastic site for future functions at the Marina.

The Venue for our AGM is now as follows:

The Old School Trattoria
205 Mona Vale Rd St Ives
(Enter parking and restaurant from Porters Lane).
Phone 9144 6466

Our Hosts Franco and Pina have looked after many of us for years and specialise in quality Tuscan cuisine.

We have the restaurant to ourselves, so please arrive at 11.30am for a 12 noon Annual General Meeting.

Lunch will be served after the meeting concludes, from about 1pm.

Price for lunch is subsidised by the Club and is $25.00 per head (Members and their Partners), $65.00 per head (for Family and friends) and free for children (12 years and under).

The Menu:
Anti Pasto Platters including Prawns, Oysters, Smoked Salmon, Italian Meats and Vegies will be served to each table

Pasta Platters also to each Table

Main Courses:

Choose from the following on the day:

Veal Scallopine with Mushroom and Cream Sauce
Half a Grilled Spatchcock
Barramundi grilled, or in Franco's famous tomato sauce
Roast vegies and salads will accompany mains

Dessert:

Tiramisu or Gelato

Coffee: Proper Coffee from the Espresso machine as you like it!

This will be a very good lunch and at $25.00 per head for members and partners is unbeatable value (it's still great value at $65.00 per head!!!!!

The Old School Trattoria is fully licensed and has a reasonably priced wine list with a good selection of Italian and Australian wines, beers and spirits.

You may also BYO if you prefer.

One of the reasons we've used Cielo when possible is that Members can stay on the Marina without the need to drive.

If we get enough interest, the Club will arrange a transfer to and from Akuna Bay on the day.

Depending on numbers there may be a small surcharge for this.

Please advise urgently:

1) If you've already booked in and you're happy to come to The Old School Trattoria

2) If you haven't yet booked but wish to attend

3) If you (subject to reasonable cost) would like to be transferred to and from Akuna Bay on the day.

We do need more members to attend at this stage to secure a Quorum for the AGM. If you can't come, please send Ian Franklin your Proxy.

Finally my sincere apologies for the late change of venue, but I do think it'll be a fantastic lunch!

Marg and I are interstate and won't make it on the day. Bugger!

I will however, stand for Commodore for another year, and if elected assure you of my best endeavours for ABCC Members.

I hope you can come along to the AGM.

Good Boating and Kind Regards,

Bob Taylor
