Commodore's Message - May 2010
12-May-10
As we enjoy our boating in Autumn with its beautiful sunny and mild days, so typical of Sydney at this time of year, it is a good time to update you on what's happening at the Club and also reflect on our Members' boating activities in 2009/10.

Well I guess it is a sign that summer is coming to close when we wake up and it's dark at 6.00am. And what a summer it has been.

Well with winter upon us it's great to reflect how lucky we are to be living in Sydney. Even luckier that we, as ABCC members, are blessed with having the Hawkesbury and Pittwater systems to enjoy.

Commodore's Message - February 2006
06-Feb-06
With the long week-end associated with Australia Day we had an excuse to celebrate the occasion. There is an article on the Club's day in the "Club News" section. It was a great day with the Club boats trying to out-do each other with their decorations, and then the beach scene and activities.

Commodore's Message - Welcome to 2006

Firstly let me thank the members for entrusting the running of the club to the new committee and special thanks to Keith, Jenny, Harry and Jill and indeed all of the outgoing committee for a job well done.

COMMODORE'S REPORT - AGM 2004
28-Aug-05
We again finish the Club year with a healthy number of boats on the register. With 65 boats (about 130 members) the Club remains very active and we can look back over the previous twelve months with some pride.

Commodore's Message
02-Aug-05
As the Club year draws to a close, we can look back on an interesting year where Club Membership has dropped only slightly and we finish the year with 66 boats on the register.

Commodore's Message
21-Jun-05
So how about this "winter" weather we've been having ?? Apart from the ridiculously short days, it has been exceptional boating weather and good to see so many Club Members out enjoying it.

Commodore's Message
21-Apr-05
We enter the 'cooler' months with a couple more very successful Club events strong in our memory.

Commodore's Message
23-Mar-05
Here we are again, with the Easter Weekend almost upon us, heralding the end of the warmer months and longer days. Hopefully many of us will be taking advantage of the break to spend time on the water.

Commodore's Message
22-Feb-05
Well the Beach Ball is fully booked and we look forward to another great evening on Hallett's Beach on February 5th.

Commodore's Message
18-Jan-05
Well, what has happened to the last few months ?? All of a sudden Christmas and New Year are behind us and summer is half way gone.

Commodore's Report - AGM 2004
30-Aug-04
At the conclusion of my second year as Commodore, we can look back with pride on many of the Clubs' achievements though perhaps a little disappointment at the lack of support shown for some of the events that we've held.

Commodore's Message
20-Jul-04
Winter is truly with us now, not always the ideal time for boating, but the hardy ones will still find joy in the relative peace and quiet on the water, while most of us are tucked up at home in front of the fire.

Commodore's Message
04-Apr-04
With cooler weather and shorter days ahead, let's reflect on the last few months of the Club's activities, it's been a lot of fun.

Commodore's Message
01-Mar-04
Just a quick reminder of upcoming events, check the "Events" link for full details on our next "Information Night" and the "Peat's Bite" lunch. Please be sure to make your bookings if you are coming along to these functions.

Beach Ball 2004
Well !!
What can we say, the compliments have been coming in thick and fast, and despite the pre-Ball boasts we made about organising "perfect weather and tides", we weren't really sure anyone up there was listening. Whatever happened it certainly worked in our favour !!

Commodore's Message
19-Jan-04
A belated Happy New Year to all Club Members.
It has certainly been an interesting holiday season which has seen many of our members out and about enjoying boating and associated friendships on the water.

Commodore's Message
19-Dec-03
Christmas is just around the corner and over 50 Club Members celebrated it's imminent arrival at our Christmas Lunch at Il Piemonte on Saturday December 13th. What a wonderful function showing just what a great group of people we have in the Club.

Commodore's Message
01-Dec-03
Well the Club has got off to a great start this year, with four very success ful events already behind us.

Commodore's Message
01-Nov-03
When I somewhat reluctantly took the reigns from Commodore David 12 months ago, I was well aware of the efforts that David & Carol had put into the Club for the previous two years.

Commodore's Message
13-May-03
Well, we must be doing something right!!
Seems like most of us are having a lot of fun and Club membership just keeps on increasing, we currently have a membership of 50 boats and growing. A very big thanks from Jenny and myself for the support the Members are giving to us and to the Club, it certainly makes the effort put in by your Committee worthwhile.

Commodore's Message
01-Mar-03
We've been blessed with good weather and good company so far, let's hope it continues into Autumn. The current rain spell is desperately overdue, and can only be good for Akuna Bay and all our waterways, fingers crossed that weather for Easter will present more great times for boating.

Commodore's Message
01-Dec-02
Well here we are again, into the boating season, with Christmas only a few days away. It seems to come a little earlier each year as we get older. It just sneaks up on us, seemingly without ever giving us sufficient warning.
